These terms and conditions are applicable to postal and local collection orders (markets). Please read carefully.

Ordering & Selecting Shipping Dates
Our online shop is now open 24/7!

I bake Monday to Wednesday to make sure there is no delay when posting the goodies. Orders placed on Wednesday after 5pm (UK time) will be posted the following week Tuesday at the latest. If you have any questions feel free to email.

We make all our goodies to order, and dispatch via Royal Mail Tracked 24.

If you entered the wrong details at checkout
Once an order has been submitted, amendments must be made within 12 hours by contacting us by email, quoting the order number. We will confirm any amendments before the order is shipped.

In the first instance the quickest way to locate or re-route your package is to contact Royal Mail directly. You can do this here.

Damages in transit
We do everything we can to ensure your items arrive in the best condition possible, however, sometimes things do get damaged in transit where we will raise a complaint and refund request with the courier. A refund will not be offered until we receive compensation from the courier service.
To be eligible for a replacement or refund in the unfortunate circumstance that there is an issue with your delivery, you must contact us by email within three days of the Shipping Date.

All orders are placed at the buyer’s risk. When ordering your goodies, you are accepting responsibility for their journey to you. Our delivery boxes have been designed to fit through a standard UK letterbox.
By doing this the customer accepts liability of the goods being left and their safety. We are unable to replace any lost or stolen goods once they have been delivered through the letterbox. We are not responsible for what happens once items are in your premises, please make sure your parcel is safe from pets and other members of the household.

​Local Collections
Some products are available only for Local Collection (markets). Local Collection orders will be ready to collect during market opening hours (timing depends of the market terms and conditions and will be confirmed after order is submitted) on your chosen Pick-up date. Collection orders will be held until end of the market day Pick-up date. Any orders which aren’t collected after this time will be disposed of. The customer will not be eligible for a refund.
In the event you are unable to Pick up your order as scheduled please get in touch by email with your order number and an alternative Collection date, providing at least 48 hours’ notice of your Collection date. Alternatively, if you would like to change your order from Collection to Shipping, we are able to do so upon payment of the relevant shipping costs.

Best Before Dates
We provide customers with the following guidance across our website and on our product labels:
Cakes Every Day products are a fresh product. We recommend enjoying your goodies on the day they arrive, but provide a minimum best before of five days (providing they arrive next day). This is purely when they will be at their freshest. As per guidelines, we do not provide Use By dates as our products are not dangerous to consume after their best before dates.
Please see storage recommendation on each product label.
In warm weather please store goodies in the fridge.
We are not liable to replace any products which have exceeded their best before date.

We are always happy to answer any questions you may have! Please contact us using the Contact page. Please note this is our only customer service channel. We currently do not answer enquiries or follow up on orders via direct message via our social media accounts. We aim to reply to emails within 24 hours. Please note we are not open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Product Images
All images are for illustration purposes only and may differ slightly on arrival. This can, for example, be due to suppliers making changes to their products or during warm weather.

Delivery
We use Royal Mail as our exclusive courier service, who provide a safe, fast and tracked service for our products.

We deliver to UK postcodes only

Shipping to mainland UK addresses is a flat rate of £4.99 for Next Day Tracked delivery. Please note this is not a guaranteed next day service, however, 98% of parcels typically do arrive next day.
Please ensure correct shipping address is entered – we cannot be held responsible for posting to the wrong address. Failure to select the correct shipping option may result in a delay in shipping your order.

Tracking Your Order
You will receive an email and/or text from Cakes Every Day to let you know when your goodies have left our home bakery. We will send you a tracking number what you can use on the Royal Mail tracking service page.

If you are not going to be in 
All our parcels will fit through a standard UK letterbox so there is no need to worry about missing the delivery. However we don’t take responsibility for the parcel when the letterbox is used by more than one person and/or household. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any claims with the courier service if your parcel goes missing after being delivered.

By doing this the customer accepts liability of the goods being left and their safety. We are unable to replace any lost or stolen goods once a safe space has been designated.

Returns Policy
All sales are final and we do not offer refunds on purchases for accidental purchases.
We do not offer returns unless there is an issue with your product. In the first instance the best thing to do is email and we will be able to help.

To be eligible for a replacement or refund in the unfortunate circumstance that there is an issue with your delivery, you must contact us by email within three days of the Shipping Date. We will then begin the investigation process where we will ask you to return the item to us.

Returns can only be made within three working days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, and in the original packaging. If the return is approved, we will initiate a refund via your original method of payment. You will receive the refund within a few days, depending on your card issuers’ policies.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

We do not offer or accept returns or refunds for parcels which do not arrive next day. See Shipping Policy for more information – the service we use is Royal Mail Tracked 24, this is not a guaranteed next day service. Whilst all efforts are made to deliver next day, it is not always possible.
